About the Role

Are you a dynamic marketing manager ready to become a key player in Transreport’s rewarding growth journey in Japan?

We are currently seeking a Marketing Manager to join our Japan-based team. In this role, it will be crucial to adapt the global marketing strategy to the local context as we aim to achieve our growth ambitions. You will champion our technology to both the transport industry and its passengers. We are looking for someone with a deep understanding of the Japanese market, exceptional marketing skills, and fluent communication abilities in both Japanese and English.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with our UK-based marketing team, planning and coordinating campaigns that align with the company’s overarching business objectives.

Location: Osaka, Japan (Remote)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies and campaigns to promote brand awareness for our flagship technology, Passenger Assistance.
  • Localise global marketing content across all channels, both online and offline, including the website and other marketing collateral.
  • Drive digital marketing strategies to expand our online presence and reach. This includes a strong emphasis on social media platforms, where you will manage content in the local language.
  • Lead event management activities, ensuring that events are executed smoothly and effectively promote our technology and brand.
  • Engage in B2B demand generation activities, showcasing a proven ability to amplify demand in the local market for our technology products.
  • Collaborate closely with the commercial team to understand their requirements and develop targeted marketing initiatives, collateral, campaigns, and materials to support their B2B sales efforts.
  • Working with an external agency, lead public relations efforts to promote our brand and offerings.
  • Build and sustain robust relationships with vital stakeholders, encompassing corporate clients, industry leaders, and strategic partners, to amplify our brand reputation and foster business growth.

Requirements

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Excellent communication skills with proficiency Japanese and English
  • Experience in a marketing role, with a track record of successful product or service launches.
  • Strong digital skill set and experience in managing and producing content for social media platforms.
  • Understanding of the Japanese market, culture, and consumer behaviour.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Project management experience, organisational skills and managing deadlines.
  • Team player attitude

Desirable

  • Personal/lived experience of disability/access barriers.
  • Professional experience in the transport sector

Stage 2 – You will be given a short activity for us to see your skillset and your style of working.

Stage 3 - You will be invited to a more in-depth interview with our team. This interview, lasting no longer than 60 minutes, will cover specific questions about the short activity and your relevant experience.

Stage 4 – A final inteview with members from our senior management team. Guaranteed Interview Scheme
